Teochew Fish Porridge in Red

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups of Primera Red Rice

Fish Marinate

  • 500 Gram of Fish Fillet
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Sesame Oil

Fish Porridge

  • 2 Liters of Water
  • 1 Tablespoon of Chicken Stock
  • ½ Tablespoon of Cooking Oil
  • ¼ Teaspoon of Black Pepper

Garnish

  • Ginger
  • Pickled Vegetable

Directions

Cook Red Rice

  1. Wash 2 cups of Primera Red Rice.
  2. Drain the water completely.
  3. Add in 5 cups of water.
  4. Cook as usual in a rice cooker.

Marinate fish Fillets

  1. In a bowl, add 500 gram of fish fillet, 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil.
  2. Mix well and put aside.

Cook Fish Porridge

  1. In a pot, bring 2 liters of water to boil.
  2. Add cooked Primera Red Rice and marinated fish fillets.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Cook until thicken.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of chicken stock, ½ tablespoon of cooking oil and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Serve together ginger and pickled vegetables.
